Fountainbleau Lodge Receives Special Valentine's Cards from School Children Half Way Across the Country!

Laura Robinson is a Teacher's Aide at Midway Elementary School in Fellows, California. Robin's Mother, Patricia Uptain, is a resident at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Robinson thought it would be a nice gesture and a way to make a very special Valentine's Day for her mother, Patiricia, by having her 1st and 2nd grade students make personalized Valentine's Day cards for her.

However, the news of her gesture and cards spread throughout the remainder of the classes at Midway and students from 3rd grade through 8th grade decided to make personalized Valentine's Day Cards for all of the residents of Fountainbleau Lodge. A pretty sincere and heartwarming activity that will bring joy to not only Patirica Uptain, but the rest of the residents at the facility as well.

Fountainbleau Lodge is hosting a Valentine's Day party for its residents at 2 pm on Friday February 12th. Fountainbleau Administrator, Shafiq Malik, plans to hand out the school children's special Valentine's Day Cards to his residents then.

"We always love to have holiday celebrations at Fountainbleau for our residents. And this act of kindness, school children from half way across the country, sending these special Valentine's wishes and cards to our residents, will definitely make this year's celebration much more special. It's great to see love being sent by children who care and are sincere, and love is what Valentine's Day is all about," said Malik.

Robinson was very happy to get the help, love and assistance form the other classes at Midway Elementary. It wasn't hard for my classes to be creative and make the Valentine's Day cards for my mother, but I was so thankful that the other teachers at the school kind of jumped on the bandwagon for the other residents at Fountainbleau. We hope the sincere wishes, the creative art, and the love by our students helps brighten each and every resident at Fountainbleau," said Robinson.
